Product Care Instructions
Last Updated: May 2026
Siloam premium eyewear is manufactured with high-quality materials and precision craftsmanship. Proper daily care will preserve the lenses, frame finish, structural alignment and extend the service life of your glasses for years to come. Please follow the guidelines below for optimal maintenance.
✅ Recommended Practices
Use Both Hands
Always put on and remove your glasses with two hands. This evenly distributes pressure, prevents loose hinges and keeps the frame properly aligned.
Use the Included Microfiber Cloth
Clean daily smudges, fingerprints and skin oils exclusively with the original Siloam microfiber cloth. It is specially designed to protect lens coatings.
Gentle Deep Cleaning
For thorough cleaning, rinse lenses and frames with lukewarm water, then apply a small amount of mild dish soap. Gently rub nose pads and temple tips to remove accumulated oils, then rinse and dry with the microfiber cloth.
Correct Placement
When setting glasses down, place them with lenses facing upward to avoid direct contact with hard or rough surfaces.
Protective Storage
Keep your eyewear in the original Siloam hard case when not in use. It provides full protection against impact, friction and deformation.
Standard Wearing Posture
Wear your glasses normally as designed.
Store in a Moderate Environment
Keep your eyewear indoors at room temperature.
❌ Things to Avoid
One-Hand Handling
Taking on or off glasses with only one hand causes uneven tension. Over time, it will stretch hinges, distort the frame shape and affect wearing comfort.
Paper & Ordinary Fabrics
Do not use tissues, paper towels, napkins, shirts or other daily fabrics for cleaning. Wood fibers and rough textures will leave permanent scratches on lenses and damage protective coatings.
Harsh Chemicals
Never use hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, ammonia-based glass cleaner, detergent, hairspray, saltwater or pool chlorine. These substances will fade frame finishes, corrode metal plating and strip anti-reflective & UV protective layers on lenses.
Lenses Facing Down
Laying glasses with lenses touching tables or countertops will easily cause abrasions and scratches.
Unprotected Storage
Do not toss glasses loosely into bags, pockets or drawers. Keys, coins and other hard items will scratch frames and lenses.
Wear on Top of Head
Avoid pushing your glasses up onto your head. The wider curve of the head will permanently stretch the frame width and misalign the temples.
Extreme Temperatures
Do not leave glasses inside vehicles, on car dashboards or under intense direct sunlight. Extreme heat or freezing cold will warp acetate frames and lead to lens delamination.
Additional Care Reminders
Our lenses are coated with professional anti-reflective, scratch-resistant and UV protection layers. Improper cleaning will permanently damage these functional coatings, which is not covered under our standard warranty.
- If your frames become loose or deformed due to long-term use, please contact our customer support for professional adjustment guidance. Do not bend or repair the frame by yourself.
- For prescription eyewear, regular maintenance helps maintain optical accuracy and ensures comfortable long-term wear.
